He was predeceased by: his father Irvin James Beard; and his brothers, Timothy Hollis Tommy Gill, Jr., Martin James Beard, Ricky Lane Beard and Robert Beard.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Beard; his sons, Cory Daniel Beard (Melissa) and Lance Quintin Beard (Katy); his mother Faye Martin Beard; his siblings, Donald Beard, Gary Beard, Bryan Beard, Ramona Sue Barris and Vikki Bourgeois (Chris); his grandchildren, Monica Beard, Wyatt Beard, Walker Beard and Kayden Dupre; and his siblings-in-law, John Alden Fontenot, Floyd Lee Fontenot, Anthony Joseph Fontenot (Cathy), Brenda Bourgeois and Glenda Savoy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 8:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4708 I-49 Frontage Rd, Opelousas, LA 70570). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
