He was predeceased by: the mother of his children Rita Romero Theriot; his son Marklend Theriot; his grandson Kalem Romero; his parents, Marcel Theriot, Sr. and Mabel Touchet; his grandson Landon Theriot; and his siblings, Murphy Theriot, Mazel Courville, Morris "Pye" Theriot and Macie Theriot.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Theriot of Scott; his children, Neal J. Theriot of Scott, Marilyn A. Broussard (Ronnie J.) of Scott and Mary F. Theriot of Scott; his grandchildren, Trace Jones (Theresa), Nia Jones (Felicia) of Marklend Theriot, II., Desirae Broussard (Martin Menard) and Destiny Vincent (Dylan); Marcel Theriot, Jr. of New Iberia. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 9th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
