He is survived by: his wife Linda Benfield Atkins; his nephew Gary Wayne McKaskle; his sons, Brian Atkins and Allen Atkins; his sister Janice Dean (Dave); and his grandchildren, Chris Atkins, Corey Atkins, Michael Atkins, Hailey Atkins, Hope Atkins, Ryder Atkins and Peyton Riley. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Centuries Memorial Funeral Home (8801 Mansfield Rd, Shreveport, LA 71108). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
