We announce the death of Barbara Linam in Shreveport, Louisiana, born in Graceville, Florida, who passed away on August 22, 2026, at the age of 91. Barbara will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Winston; her son Van Franklin; and her former husband Harold Franklin. She is survived by: her daughter Aimee Franklin Greene; her son-in-law Mike Greene; her grandchildren, Eleanor Mancini (Stephen), John Michael Greene (Hallie) and Chloe Greene (Wesley Jameson); and her great grandchildren, Caroline Mancini, Luke Mancini, John Henry Greene and Harrison Fisher Greene.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Port City Cat Rescue (https://www.portcitycatrescue.org), Kitten Cradle, and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
