She is survived by : her husband Carl Barr; her siblings, Bettye Lou Scoppa of Florida and Danny Cameron (Linda) of Georgia; and her nephews, James and Roger Cameron of Shreveport. She is also survived by her family and friends.

“I have known Carol and Carl my entire life. My Mom and Dad were friends with them when Carl worked at the city of Shreveport with my dad. After my father passed away Carol and Carl became like a second mom and dad to me. Carol and I talked almost every day till she got sick. She was not only a second mom to me but also a good friend. I will miss her so much. And Carl became like a second father to me. I will miss Carol very much. I loved Carol with all my heart.”
