With sadness, we share the passing of Charles Kirkendall (Shreveport, Louisiana). Charles, born on August 3, 1945, passed away on July 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Charles for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. Charles’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences he brought to the world.
He is survived by: his wife Cloyse; his son Eric (Theresa); his grandchildren, Kristen and Sean of Shreveport; and his sister Patrica "Trio" Lester of Ozark, Arkansas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like for people to make a donation to the Oscar Kirkendall Memorial Liberian Education Fund for students in Liberia to receive the life changing gift of education.
