With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward Davis Jr. of Shreveport, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 1, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Edward may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Edward touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Winnfield Funeral Homes - Shreveport (3701 Hollywood Ave, Shreveport, LA 71109). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Israelite Cemetery.
