He was predeceased by: his parents, George A. Clayton, Sr. and Mildred L. Hise; his wife Dolores Rivers Clayton; his son James P. Clayton; and his siblings, Thelma Conn, Billie Louise Kimbro and Edward Clayton Hise.
He is survived by: his children, Philip J. Clayton and Mildred Lee Bozeman; his sons-in-law, Stan (Carla S. Barker) and John; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Rivers Britt, Danny Rivers and Sharion Rivers. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Osborn Funeral Home (3631 Southern Ave, Shreveport, LA 71104). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of Saint John Berchmans (939 Jordan St, Shreveport, LA 71101). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Saint Joseph Cemetery of Zwolle, Louisiana (307 Hammond St, Zwolle, LA 71486).
