She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Slayton and Lena Caskey Hennigan; her son Ronald Ennis; her grandson Kyler Jacobs; and her brother Ronald Hennigan (Gloria).
She is survived by: her children, Keith Brehmer (Dianne), Kevin Brehmer (Amy), Michael Ennis (Melody) and Rhonda Ennis (Barbara Dean); her siblings, Bruce Hennigan (Sherry) and Sue Hammack (Wayne); and her grandchildren, Kristi Screws (Brandon), Erin Spears (Donny), Kasey Brehmer, Dustin Brehmer (Cathy), Corey Brehmer (Roxy), Nathan Brehmer (Jamie), Elizabeth "Bizzy" (Dee), Kienen Ennis, Brittany Jacobs, Loren Ennis, Hailey, Max Ennis and Sarah Ennis. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel (8801 Mansfield Rd, Shreveport, LA 71108). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Angels in Shreveport, Louisiana, who took such great care of Gwen's grandson, Kyler, during his lifetime and is now caring for her granddaughter, Kasey.
