With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jack Allen Batson (Shreveport, Louisiana), born in Bienville, Louisiana, who passed away on April 17, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett A. Batson and Nassie Alexander Batson of Jonesboro; and his brother Emmett Batson of Baton Rouge. He is survived by: his wife Anne Laffitte Batson; his children, John Andrew Batson (Laura) of Shreveport, Beth Batson Murrey (Gavin) and Amy Batson of Memphis, Tennessee.; his sister Ann Batson Walsworth of Jonesboro; his grandchildren, Anna Murrey of Memphis, Gavin Murrey, Jr. of Memphis, Jack Batson of Shreveport and Van Batson of Shreveport; his godparents, Lad, D. D. Cazedessus and Jack; and his caregivers, Gerald Johnson, Betty Gerideau, Doris Little, Darlene Atkins and Daysha Pollard. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to The Cathedral of St. John Berchmans, St. Joseph Catholic Church or The Rock Chapel Fund in Mansfield.
