He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Maxine Cook and Floyd Lynwood McGee. He is survived by: his wife Renee McGee; his children, Jimmie McGee Jr. (Twylla), Mandie Ell (Stephen), Mason McGee (Jessie), Morgan Meyers (James), Meredith Guidry (Eric) and Madeline Suarez (Jose); his grandchildren, Brayden McGee, Kinsley Ell, Kennedy Ell, Callen McGee, Murphy McGee, Davis McGee, Chloe Meyers, Mila Meyers, Matty Meyers, Shepherd Meyers, Graham Guidry and Eloise Guidry; and his brothers, Larry McGee (Sharon) and Bill McGee (Vanessa).

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Methodist Church (500 Common St, Shreveport, LA 71101).
