It is with sadness that the passing of John Ross of Shreveport, Louisiana is shared. John, born on October 31, 1955 in Columbia, Louisiana, passed away on September 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
John will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor John by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though John is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. John’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Ross and Joyce L. Stratton Ross of Missouri; and his brother Jerrold S. Ross (Jerry). He is survived by: his wife Sharon Lindsay Ross of Shreveport; and his siblings, James C. (Jim), Jeanette Loree Adcock (Roy) of Missouri and Amy Jolene Vaughn (Robert) of Missouri.
A committal service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Centuries Memorial Park (8801 Mansfield Rd, Shreveport, LA 71108).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Samaritan's Purse and Broadmoor Baptist Church Library.
