She was predeceased by : her parents, Ted Burton Boddie and Gwen Williams Boddie; her son John P. Hoffman III; and her sister-in-law Patsy Hoffman Bond. She is survived by : her nephew Brook Boddie; her niece Jennifer Lee Boddie; her husband John Hoffman; her daughter Mary Elizabeth Smith; her grandchildren, Laura Elizabeth Smith and Christopher Michael Smith; and her goddaughters, Emily McClure Acock and Elizabeth McClure Miller.
