He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. G. E. Blakely and Faye Blackstock Blakely; and his daughter Charlotte Faye Blakely Evans. He is survived by: his wife Bettie Ruth Durrett; his children, Carolyn Wells (Byron), Christopher (Toni) and Benjamin (Laura); his grandchildren, Margo, Blake, Marilyn, Logan and Tom; and his great grandchildren, Austin, Avery, Charlotte, Vivian and Walker.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home (2500 Southside Dr, Shreveport, LA 71118). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Ponchatoula Cemetery.
