He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Ann Calcote; his children, William Carroll Stinson (Billy), Jerry Donald Stinson and Patty Stinson Purkey; and his grandson Jamie Edmonson.
He is survived by: his son-in-law Will Purkey; his grandsons, Jason Stinson (Becky), Will Edmonson and Andy Edmonson (Mary Margaret); his great grandchildren, Makayla Edmonson, Ollie Broyles, Otis Stinson, Alice Stinson, Jaq Edmonson, Mary Minette Edmonson and Evangeline Edmonson; and his great great grandchildren, Baylor Alexander, Bennet Alexander and Riley Thompson.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Forest Park West Cemetery (4000 Meriwether Rd, Shreveport, LA 71109).
