He was predeceased by: his parents, Carolyn Leola Carter and William Prentiss Carter, Jr.; and his siblings, Carolyn Marguerita Krause and William Prentiss Carter, III. He is survived by: his wife Lise Anne Carter; his son Anthony Bronson Carter; his daughter-in-law Michelle Lynn Carter; his grandchildren, Caroline, Charlotte, Alina, Christian and Cade; and his brother Gerald Patrick Carter.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (303 Chisum St, Sicily Island, LA 71368). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
