We announce the death of Annie Maddie Ducote (Simmesport, Louisiana), who passed away on September 7, 2026, at the age of 97. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rosie Torina Maddie and Sam Maddie; her husband Merlin J. Ducote; her siblings, Frank Maddie (Gladys) and Rosie Collette (Anthony); and her daughter-in-law Donna Bonnette Ducote (Samuel).
She is survived by: her sons, Gerald Ducote and Samuel Ducote. She is also survived by three grandsons; and five great granddaughters.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Escude Funeral Home (625 Main St, Simmesport, LA 71369). A rosary was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:45 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (657 Main St, Simmesport, LA 71369).
