We bid farewell to David E Gullatt of Simsboro, Louisiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 3, 2025 at the age of 75. David touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. As David departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved David. Though David may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Gullatt and Harrell Gullatt; and his nephew Jeff Martin. He is survived by: his wife Sue Durrett Gullatt; and his sister Diane Martin (Ed). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Temple Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to The Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, Temple Baptist Church "Next Chapter" Campaign, or The Oak Grove Cemetery Association at 1223 Hwy 815, Simsboro, LA, 71275.
