The memory of Alberta Elma Smith of Slidell, Louisiana, who passed away on June 16, 2025 at the age of 85, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Isabella Williams and Elmo Williams; her husband Elder Louis Joe Smith (LJ); her children, Joe Louise Smith, David E. Smith, Alma Wright Valentine and Marvin W. Smith; and her sister Marie Smooth.
She is survived by: her children, Gail Cooper (Harold), Michael Smith, Brenda Smith and Albert Smith (Ronda); her daughters-in-law, Angela, Elissa and Valerie; and her goddaughter Sonia Slaughter. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Christian Love Church (60451 Dixie Rd, Slidell, LA 70460). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at the Perryman-Fields-Jones-Vaultz Cemetery (55546 LA-433, Slidell, LA 70461).
