He is survived by: his wife Gelon Simmons Bowens; his children, Alonda Brinston, Alonzo Bowens, Jr. (Gia), Michelle Stokes (Chad), Gaynell Bowens and Angela Bowens; and his grandchildren, Tracey Smith, Robin Butler, Yolanda Caliste, Marcus Gasper (Rochelle), Monique Egana (Theron) and Maurice Gasper (Samarie). He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
