He is survived by: his wife Deborah Lawrence Carter; his children, Julie Carter, Candice Carter-Gilder (Antoine), Vernita Treadwell (Kenneth) and Chanda Carter; his siblings, Johnnie Lee Carter, Bennie B. Carter and Andrew Lee Carter; his grandchildren, Alvin, Kisha, Carmaletia, Isaac, Antjuan, Katrina, Jamar, Chanda and Antoine Jr.; and his nephew Corey. He is also survived by great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his canine companion.
