He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude McMooain and David McMooain; his wife NeOrlean Howard McMooain of Slidell; his daughter Escrelita Carmouche; and his siblings, Brunetta Richardson, Vernell Javery, Dorothy Bezue, LeeArthur McMooain, Dorazell Gillum and Emelda Irvin.

He is survived by: his children, D'Andrea McMooain Chatman (Samuel), Vashita Carmouche Batiste and Cedric David McMooain; his grandchildren, Jeanne (Lilton Sr.), Reginald (Megan), Rashita, Chyna, Tyler, Gerard (Jynnea), Xavier, Joshua, Ian, Alexandria, Hannah, Cody, Raegn and Lauren; his great grandchildren, Samaria, Lilton Jr., Mc'Kenzi, Nyla, Dwayne Jr., Tejah and Andie; and his siblings, Louis McMooain (Linder), Wilford "Peter" McMooain (Rose) and Ora Vernita Kelly. He is also survived by godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
