He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jan; and his children, Darnyle Sanders (Billy), Dennis "Doc" Stepanek (Roxanne), Debbie Lesieur (Rhett), Dorothi Adkins (Steve), Douglas Stepanek (Heather), Dale Ullo Jr. (Trish) and Patrick Piazza (Brandi). He was also cherished by five children, two stepsons, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Southeast Louisana Veterans Cemetery (34888 Grantham College Rd, Slidell, LA 70458).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dennis' memory to his home church, Resurrection Life Church in Picayune, Mississippi, a church and community that became an important part of his life.
