He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Lyle Kopfler, Sr. and Blanche Simmons Kopfler. He is survived by: his wife Madeleine Baldwin Kopfler; his children, Jeanine Kopfler Boykin (Mark) and Christopher Andrew Kopfler (Tonya); his siblings, Lynn Kopfler LeBlanc, Dean Elizabeth Kopfler and Joseph Gottlieb Kopfler; and his grandchildren, Richard Blake Boykin (Tasha), Matthew Austin Boykin and Madeleine Claudia Boykin.

Donations to the American Heart Association or St. Genevieve Catholic Church, preferred, in lieu of flowers.
