He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel McDowell and Roland McDowell Sr.; and his siblings, Gwen Sullivan (Dudley) and Roland "Buddy" McDowell Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn McDowell; his son Denny McDowell; his daughter-in-law Kathy McDowell; his sister-in-law Janice McDowell; his granddaughter Kimberly Rivera (Jose); his great grandchildren, Miles, Josie and Rosemary Hasting; Amelia and Jude.
