He was predeceased by: his parents, John H Payton and Margaret McKelphin Payton; and his sister Lillie Fields (Coot). He is survived by: his daughters, Antoinette Christoval and Jeanette Payton; and his siblings, Elouise Payton, Lovell Payton, Sr. (Lasses), Luzell Payton (Hunt), Johnetta Jones (Sis), Dorothy Cagler (Rit) and Jack Payton (Candy).
