It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Thomas Fowlkes of Slidell, Louisiana, born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on October 1, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thelma Blackwood Fowlkes and Thomas "Tommy" Fowlkes; his children, Diane Boudreau (Dan), Susan Waitz (Tim), James Thomas Fowlkes Jr. (Anna), Marilyn Marsanskis (Steve) and David Fowlkes (Colleen); his former wife Joyce (late Diane Maynard); and his grandson Jacob Fowlkes. He was also cherished by 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
