James Towler Obituary
James Towler, born on September 10, 1940, passed away on September 11, 2026. James leaves behind family members and others who acknowledge this loss. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Towler and Lois Cheek Towler; his wife Rita Saladino Towler; and his siblings, Betty Towler Brown, Charles Towler and Perry Towler.
He is survived by: his children, Keith Towler (Lisa DiMarco), Laura T. Gereighty and Lois T. Steele (Emmett); his granddaughter Jessica Gereighty (Ben); and his great grandchildren, Cailey Williams and Wrigley McNaughton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Honaker Funeral Home (1751 Gause Blvd W, Slidell, LA 70460). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Slidell Noon Lions Club, P.O. Box 1953, Slidell, LA 70459.
