With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janice Venette Mantle Harrison of Slidell, Louisiana, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 16, 2025 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her husband James Dawson Harrison; and her daughter Nancy Harrison Barron. She is survived by: her sister Merilyn Wagmiller; her son William; her grandson Tyler; her son Thomas (Ruchille); her grandsons, James, Jacob and Andrew Marquez (Elena); her great grandchildren, Graham and Corinne; her granddaughter Carley Ballou (Nick); her great grandchild Cecelia Venette; and her stepdaughter Susan Harwood (Chris). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan organization dedicated to empowering voters, would be appreciated.
