She was predeceased by: her father Elmer "Butch" H. Hemphill, Jr.. She is survived by: her mother Sandra H. Hemphill; her brother Timothy A. Hemphill (Meghana); her sibling's children, Arthi and Neel Hemphill; and her pet Butch. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to the Louisiana SPCA.
