He was predeceased by: his parent Simpson Wright, Sr.; and his siblings, Wendell Wright, Derald Wright, Simpson Wright, Jr. and Adrienna Wright.

He is survived by: his parent Marion Mackey Wright; his siblings, Bervin Wright (Shy), Gerald Wright, Betty Wright, Marilyn Shelton (Earl), Melvina Jones, Dianne Arceneaux, Christine Bibbins (Lionel), Vanessa Oats, Melanise McPherson (Antoine) and Stephanie Herman (Herb); and his close friend Alma Hill. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
