He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Josephine; his cousin Hambrick Batiste (Chester Millard Hambrick) of Lacombe, LA; his children, Emily Lucille Hambrick (Jones) and Ross Otto; his brothers, Professor Longhair, Maze and Frankie Beverly; his children, Joseph Manuel Jr., Sharlette Elizabeth and Ron Todd; his sisters, Sallie M. Brooks (Heard) and Laura Ann Jones (Hambrick); his grandfather Joe; his grandchildren, Morgan June, Skye Elizabeth and Dylan; his wife Emily; his son Dwight; his grandchild Ikesha; and his siblings, James Felton Mason and Edith Ann Johnson (Heard). He was also cherished by cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.
