With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marcia Short Barto of Slidell, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on September 17, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Short and Marguerite Short; her husband Peter Barto; her daughter Tina Finch; and her siblings, Marvin Short and Marlene Turgeau.

She is survived by: her children, Chris Barto (Lisa) and Aimee Lashley (Joe); and her grandchildren, Bo Barto, Logan Jones, Kodey Lockwood, Peyton Duhe, Eli Lashley, Melissa Bahlinger, Chris Kottemann and Michael Kottemann.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that a donation be made to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.
