She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin George and Sybil Soulant George; her husband James W. Mahaffey; and her siblings, Edwin M. George Jr., Lloyd J. George, Sybil G. Williams Gibson and Shirley G. Cannon.
She is survived by: her children, Darren M. Mahaffey and Susan A. Mahaffey; her grandchildren, James R. Mahaffey and Chloe M. Gonzales; her sister Beverly G. Kelly (R. Kenneth); and her sisters-in-law, Ramona George and Marie Mahaffey. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Childhood Leukemia Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association.
