He was predeceased by: his son Russell Alexander Hammler; and his brothers, Alexander, Allen, Lawrence, Herman and Ronald Hammler Sr..

He is survived by: his wife Annetta Hammler; his children, Preston Timothy Hammler, Alisa Marigny and Allen Hammler; his sisters, Janice Betts and Lorene Miller; his grandchildren, Ariyana Carr and Russell A. Haney; and his son-in-law Gregory Marigny. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family members, and devoted friends.
