Raquel leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Raquel’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Raquel will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her husband Emilio Armirez; and her sisters, Argentina Madrid and Estellia Madrid. She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Claret (Brian) and Emily Everett (John); her stepdaughter Anna Borden; her sisters, Olga Quintanilla and Betulia Madrid; and her pets, Pele and Amazonian. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Honaker Funeral Home (1751 Gause Blvd W, Slidell, LA 70460). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
