“3 of 3 i like to remember uncle ray with a dixie beer in his hand, telling jokes, laughing hard, listening to music, playing one of his many harmonicas, dancing and surrounded by friends and family. To my aunt ann, robin, a.j., julie and andrea, grandchildren, brothers and sister, i send my deepest condolences and thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to spend time with him and you all during his hospice at home.”

Nancy Ward wrote a sympathy message

“2 of 3 Uncle Ray was a gifted artist commissioned by the Cline family to do an oil painting of the Elmwood Plantation. It is so beautiful you feel like you are standing right there on the property. Ray's children would love to have it back in the family but the Cline family will never depart with it. The large painting magnificently graces their formal living room. I asked him once why he stopped painting and he said he didn't have time or space once his kids came along.”

Nancy Ward wrote a sympathy message

“Uncle Ray was a self taught wood craftsman, artist and musician. When I was about 10 ys old he began remodeling our Tchoupitoulas St house. I was so excited with each work visit, watching the transformation. Doing away with the old fireplaces & replacing them with built-in closets & practical and decorative shelving & storage. I told him I wanted a pink and purple room. He choose a soft pink and pastel violet trim. It was the room every little girl dreams of. No 2 rooms in the house were alike”
