He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Berkowitz and Margaret Stabile Berkowitz; and his brother Philip Berkowitz. He is survived by: his wife Mary Dellsperger Berkowitz; his sons, Dr. Wayne Berkowitz (Sloan) and Michael Berkowitz; and his grandchildren, Matthew, Olivia, William and Timothy. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church (1050 Robert Blvd, Slidell, LA 70458). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pope John Paul II High School Capital Campaign.
