It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vera Thompson of Slidell, Louisiana, born in McCurtain, Oklahoma, who passed away on May 9, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Vera departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Vera. Though Vera may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her son Paris King; her parents, Reuben Wallen and Ruby Wallen; and her siblings, Leonard Wallen (Sonny), Jesse Wallen, Kenneth Wallen, Reuben Wallen Jr., Donald Wallen and Carolyn Sue Wills.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Thompson; her daughter Evanthia Clavdianos; her grandchildren, Presley King and Gavin King; and her sister Linda Hamilton (Barry). She is also survived by many Nieces, Nephews.
