He was predeceased by: his son William Thomas III; his parents, William Thomas, Sr. and Mildred Johnson Thomas; and his siblings, Charlie, Alvin Thomas, Genevieve Joyce Thomas Neapollioun and Vanessa Marie Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Fletcher Thomas; his siblings, Mildred Thomas Carter and Cleveland Charles Thomas (Margaret); his children, Deborah Thomas Hinton (Sidney), Adrienne Thomas Bechet, Deana Thomas Green, Christopher Picou, Angela Woodson and Barbara Taylor; and his stepchildren, Erskine Parker, Laura Parker and Jarred Daggs. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
