He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Davis Dean and Lillian Banes Dean; and his sister Moselle Dean. He is survived by: his wife Kay Ammons Dean; his children, Jennifer Dean Smith (Scott) and Jeffrey Dean; his grandchildren, Steven Smith (Morgan), Caleb Smith, Jacob Smith (Sarah) and Anna Smith; his great grandchild Gareth Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Richard and Kathleen Ammons.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the mission fund of First Baptist Church, Slidell.
