He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Melancon and Nora Melancon; and his daughter Shelly Templet. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Babin Melancon; his children, Cory Melancon (Amanda), Shawna Melancon, Heidi Melancon, Shane Melancon (Brooke), Jeremy Templet, Dana Pruitt, Kara Leigh Templet and Quincy Templet (Cristy); his siblings, Ronnie Melancon (Melissa), Sandra Templet, Terry Melancon (Gayle) and Vanessa Melancon; and his in-laws, Mike Babin (Debbie), Mark Babin (Amy), Donnie Bourgeois (Donna) and Jeff LeBlanc (Debbie). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
