He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Thurmon and Inez Brantley Thurmon Patterson; and his son Arthur "Boo" Thurmon. He is survived by: his wife Ella Verdin Thurmon; his children, Troy "Peanut" Thurmon (Rhonda), Henry Thurmon (Lori) and Angie Olk (Alex); his grandchildren, Lakeon Conley, Kirsten Thurmon, Austin Thurmon, Skylar Thurmon, Alyssa Thurmon, Nichole Thurmon, Gavin Thurmon, Hannah McGaugh, Hunter Hightower, Ethan Harvey, Tristan Harvey and Jackson Bailey; his stepfather Claude Patterson (Pat); and his stepbrothers, Don Hanry and Ray Hanry. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church (902 Pilgrims Rest Church Rd, Spearsville, LA 71277). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
