He was predeceased by: his wife Francis "Fritz" Gardner; his parents, Celia Gatlin and Quinton "Speck" Gatlin; his brothers, Russell Gatlin and Timmie Gatlin; his brother-in-law Albert Monistere; and his nephew Timmy Wayne Gatlin.
He is survived by: his daughter Michelle Sterken (David); his sisters, Bonnie Quave (Larry) and Linda Monistere; his grandchildren, Grant Sterken, Olivia Sterken and Erica Sterken Smith (Eric); and his nieces and nephews, Susie Duplessis, Dustin Spring, James Quave, Albert Monistere, Brian Monistere, Corene Monistere, Bo Quave, Angela Quave, Charna Geoghagan, Dwayne Minchew, Lashalle Lindsey, Ciara Setoon, Brennan Eastridge, Katelyn Rivers and Caroline Aguillard. He is also survived by his family, friends.
