She was predeceased by: her mother Rebecca Lard Hutchinson. She is survived by: her husband Lionel Mathies Jr.; her father Dilton G. Hutchinson (Patricia); her sister Tammy Davis; her stepsiblings, Bekah McAllister (Hunter) and David D'Angelo (Brenda); her siblings-in-law, Deb Spree (Roy), Steve Oxner and Bobby Oxner Sr. (Melissa); and her nieces and nephews, Colin Davis (Devon), Chris Davis (Jessica), Leslie Spree, Ashley Oxner, Rachel Oxner, Bobby Oxner Jr., Madeline McAllister and Erika Harwood.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made directly to Lionel in order to help start up "Melanie's Hope", a foundation for animals in need.
