He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence "Happy" Taylor and Eva Mae Henderson Taylor; his in-laws, Jack and Betty Sue DeLony; his siblings, Lawrence, Jr., Robert Taylor and Frances Owen; and his sisters-in-law, Ladonna Thomason and Denise DeLony.

He is survived by: his spouse Lenna DeLony Taylor; his children, Jennifer Taylor Ayres (Lee Ayres) and Chad Taylor (Melissa Taylor); and his grandchildren, Jack Taylor, Victoria Taylor, Olivia Taylor, Dawson Taylor, Isabella Ayres and Harrison Ayres.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
