Phyllis Ann Buxton Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Ann Buxton of Starks, Louisiana, who passed away on July 17, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her father Joseph Lester Flanigan; her husband J. M. "Buck" Buxton, Jr.; her mother Mae Sue Flanigan (Moore); her son Jay Buxton; her great grandchild Harley Frazier; her daughter-in-law Cindy Buxton; and her siblings, Ray Flanigan, Cecil Flanigan, Eddie Flanigan, Lloyd Flanigan and Mary Peveto.

She is survived by : her children, Don Buxton, Laura of Starks, Lester Buxton (Theresa) of Starks and Sarah Brister (Steve) of Orange, Texas; her grandchildren, Chris Buxton of Starks, Joe Buxton (Shannon) of DeQuincy, Destiny Frazier (Louis) of Starks, Miranda Alvarez (Abi) of Orange, Jeremy Brister (Rachel) of Orange, Michelle Ashworth of Orange, Ricky Ashworth of Vidor and Hunter Brister (Brandi) of Deweyville, Texas; and her brother Derrald Flanigan (Midge) of Orange, Texas. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaugher; and numerous members of extended family and friends.
