He is survived by: his wife Dr. Dale Beglis Schanz; his daughters, Dielle Barrentine (Robert "Binky") and Dara Jo Johnson (Happy); his granddaughters, Jackie Wade Fluty (Patrick), Alexa Barrentine and Emma Barrentine; and his sister Edith Elizabeth Schanz Seefeld (Craig). He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
