He is survived by: his wife Linda O'Quinn Benglis; his children, Mary Johnson, Donna Benglis, Sheila Roach and George Benglis (Paula); his brother Lemuel Benglis; and his grandchildren, Lorie Beeler (Donald), Daniel Raoch (Lindsey), Christopher Francois (Payge), Hunter Benglis and Karlee Davis (Tristan). He is also survived by nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Johnson Funeral Home - Sulphur (107 W Napoleon St, Sulphur, LA 70663). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
