He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Carr and Pearl Effie Davis Garrison; his grandson Alex Carr Foreman; and his great grandchild Leo Brooks Foreman. He is survived by : his wife Barbara Ledger Garrison; his children, John Carr Garrison, Jr. (Mona), Mary Elizabeth Garrison Taylor (Bob) and Linda Lou Garrison Foreman (Damon); and his brother Robert "Bob" Garrison (Frances). He is also survived by grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
